At the Red Hills CIC this weekend, Canadian rider Kyle Carter and his mount, Madison Park, suffered a serious fall on the cross-country course.

The fall occurred at an angled brush fence (#14).  Carter went to the hospital and Madison Park (known as Parker) was taken off the course in an equine ambulance.

Carter was diagnosed with a broken wrist which will require surgery.  Veterinarians took radiographs of Parker and they were clean.

Eventing Nation reported that Parker was comfortable in his stall and eating, while Carter had returned to Red Hills and will undergo surgery soon.
