Excellence Celebrated with Made-in-Canada Partnership
Canadian-based Ogilvy Equestrian recognizes top Canadian Warmblood horses with dedicated national achievement awards.
Lery, Quebec | June 13, 2011 – Canadian-based Ogilvy Equestrian has announced their support of the Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeders Association (CWHBA) as the dedicated sponsor of its national awards program.
Ogilvy will award monthly prizes for horses competing in dressage, hunter, jumper, eventing, and combined driving from May to October of 2011. To be eligible for the monthly awards the horse must be a registered Canadian Warmblood. Awards will be given to the overall leader for each discipline, for a total of 30 prizes over six months.
In addition to the monthly awards, Ogilvy will also award year end prizes. These awards will be given to the leader of each of the three levels according to the program, in all five disciplines for a total of 15 prizes.
“The goal of this awards program is to recognize and honour horses that have already met the criteria for being on the books with Canadian Warmblood, and are now demonstrating their potential in performance,” stated Jeanette Coote, member of the CWHBA Studbook Committee. “Performance is a focus for our breeding program, and it’s important to our membership that we take the time to highlight the successes when they are achieved. We are thrilled that Ogilvy is supporting the program, so we can extend news of our successes even further.”
Winners will receive an Ogilvy saddle pad, known for its unique design that maximizes comfort for both horse and rider, by relieving pressure points and allowing for optimal movement. Ogilvy Equestrian is dedicated to designing its saddle pads, and all its products, based on feedback from today's top equestrians. Winners from combined driving or repeat winners will be awarded one of the other quality Ogilvy products.
"We recently celebrated Philippe Le Jeune's championship at the World Equestrian Games where we learned that Philippe was riding Vigo with one of our half pads," remarked Jack Ogilvy, president of Ogilvy Equestrian. “We have also been a long-time supporter of Canadian Equestrian Team member Jill Henselwood. Now it’s time to bring our focus back to the grass roots of our nation’s horse sport by putting the spotlight on the made-in-Canada excellence we have in both horses and products.
