Katie Robinson and Rock Steady Win Championship Honors at Capital Challenge Horse Show for Deeridge Farm

East Aurora, NY - October 13, 2011 - It was an excellent week of competition for Katie Robinson during the 2011 Capital Challenge Horse Show in Upper Marlboro, MD. The talented amateur rider had great success aboard her mount Rock Steady in the Amateur-Owner 36 & Over Hunter division, eventually claiming the championship tricolor at the prestigious event.

During their two days of showing, Robinson and Rock Steady won the handy class, placed second under saddle and fourth over fences. They were then presented with the Amateur-Owner 36 & Over Hunter Championship prize for their wonderful efforts in the ring.

"It was just really great," smiled Robinson. "Capital Challenge is my favorite Indoor show, so it was wonderful to win there. Rock Steady was fantastic, he really felt great and held up his end of the bargain."

Robinson added, "During the handy, the first jump was at a hand gallop, so my goal was to start off with a really good pace and maintain it and hopefully get some good jumps right out of the gallop; it really worked out nicely. He's really good at trot jumps as well, so he was super during the whole round."

Robinson and Deeridge Farm will now travel to the Pennsylvania National Horse Show and the Alltech National Horse Show, where they hope to have continued success as the 2011 show season comes to a close.
