Central California Man Arrested for Starving Nineteen Horses

KSEE24.com is reporting that a man in Clovis, located in central California, was arrested after Sheriffs deputies were called in to investigate the conditions at his farm.  It was not the first time Dana Kahler, 59,  had been in trouble for insufficient  care of horses.

This week there were 19 emaciated animals were found on the property, eight were severely malnourished and one had to be put down.

Deputy Chris Curtice told KSEE24.com that neighbors tried to help the horses.  He went on to comment about the owner:

"If you can't afford to have a horse, you shouldn't have it. Sell it, get rid of it, but don't treat it like this."

The SPCA seized the animals the next morning.  For the full story and video, visit www.ksee24.com/news
