Colorado Horse Park Upgrades Footing with the
Generous Sponsorship of the KBC Foundation

Parker, CO -  Colorado Horse Park (CHP) is very pleased to announce major footing upgrades made possible through generous sponsorship of the KBC Foundation. The Kathy and Brad Coors Family Grand Prix Arena and schooling arena, the Olson Family Hunter Ring and Hunter Ring 2 and their schooling rings and the two CHP indoor areas have all been upgraded with top-of-the-line GGT footing.

"There are so many reasons we invested," said Kathy Coors. "The Horse Park is such an asset. We are so lucky to live in Colorado. West of the Mississippi, this is where you come to show. We gave because of Helen Krieble and her contribution to the community. She is an amazing Colorado leader."

GGT stands for German Geo Textile, made from a combination of sand and felt it is the preferred footing of most international dressage and show jumping facilities. It lists optimal impact resistance to reduce injury to horses and riders and dust reduction among its many benefits.

"These arenas are like what we rode on in Europe-it's like a springy mattress," shared Coors who recently returned from horse shopping in Europe. "The footing is essential for the safety of the horse and rider."

Coors, who trains with Glee White and Endeavor Farm, looks forward to competing in the "Summer in the Rockies" the "AA" Series of Hunter/Jumper Horse Shows in June and July, produced by Showplace Productions.

New GGT Footing was installed at Colorado Horse Park.
Kathy Coors says its like riding in the finest
competition arena in Europe and feels like a "springy mattress".

"We'll show all six weeks," continued Coors. "We have three generations that ride and show, my mother rides and I have gotten back into riding. Our triplets, two boys and a girl, all started showing here last year. We look forward to spending time with all the wonderful people that come to the Horse Park from all over the country."

And CHP is committed to improvements across the board to deliver the best possible experience.

"The Horse Park and has overseen upgrades and expansions worth over $1,500,000 to maintain the Park's position as the best show facility in the region," said Pat Boyle from Showplace Productions. "In addition to new GGT footing, we've added seven rings of new jumps, new lunging pads, a 16,000 square foot party pavilion, redid the sound system and put in brand new turn out paddocks."
