Ottawa, ON -- Dressage Canada is pleased to announce the successful athletes selected as recipients of the Dressage Canada Travel Support Program.

The Dressage Canada Travel Assistance Support Program was designed to help support both youth and senior high performance athletes and certified officials with their travel expenses representing Canada internationally.

Dressage Canada has awarded Travel Support to the following recipients for expenses incurred in representing Canada at the North American Junior Young Rider Championship (NAJYRC):

* Elexis Ortlieb, 17, of Leduc, AB. Her horse Diego, is a 14-year-old Hanoverian gelding sired by Walter Scott.

* Kristen Wight, 19, of Plympton Wyoming, ON. Her horse Sirocco, is a 19-year-old Hanoverian mare sired by Allerhand.

* Monica Houweling, 20, of Delta, BC. Her horse Rifradin, is a 15-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare sired by Gribaldi and owned by Linda Houweling.

* Nicole Babich Morin, 18, of Vaudreuil Dorion, QC. Her horse FoxFire, co-owned by Sandra Babich, is a 13-year-old Hanoverian gelding sired by FoxHunter.

* Natalie Marsden, 19, of Sundre, AB. Her horse Zeffiro, co-owned with Linda Todd, is a 17-year-old Anglo-Arabian gelding.

* Sydney Holme, 21, of North Saanich, BC. Her horse Day Dreamer, is an 11-year-old Rheinlander gelding sired by Dream of Heidelberg.
