Dressage Canada Announces Resignation of Markus Gribbe

Ottawa - Dressage Canada regretfully announces the resignation of Markus Gribbe as Technical Leader for the Dressage Canada High Performance Program.

Mr. Gribbe was instrumental in Canada's team silver placing at the 2011 Pan American Games. This result qualified Canada to send a team to the 2012 London Olympic Games and he was present with the Canadian dressage athletes at the Games.

Dressage Canada would like to thank Mr. Gribbe for his efforts in furthering the sport of dressage in Canada during his time as our Technical Leader. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

Below is Mr. Gribbe's official letter of resignation.

To Dressage Canada

I am writing to confirm that I am resigning from my position as Technical Leader.

I feel that the time has come to move on and focus more on my own horses, riding and building my own training facility. The position of Technical Leader is too time consuming. To do both, I strongly feel that in order to give 100% I have to regretfully choose.

For now I feel satisfied with the standard of my work and behavior. I have enjoyed my time very much with all the Canadian dressage riders and I learned a lot. Thank you for the opportunity to work with such an enthusiastic group of people.

Please rest assured that I will do all I can to assist in the smooth transfer of all my responsibilities before leaving my position.

I wish you and the whole Canadian dressage committee and the riders the best of luck and thank you again for having me be a part of your team.

All the best,

Markus Gribbe
