Bent Jensen Wiggles His Way to Win at Dressage Under the Stars

Wellington, FL- The fifth night of Dressage Under the Stars was filled with laughter as Olympian Bent Jensen entered the ring bedecked in an afro, spandex and tank top. Dressed as RedFoo of LMFAO, Jensen stole the show, earning perfect scores and wowing the crowds to "I'm Sexy and I Know It."

Jensen was aboard the 13-year-old Liberty Light, a veteran to the freestyle fanfare. "I have had Liberty Light since he was five years old," Jensen elaborated. "He has had a couple of different owners prior to me, but I know him quite well, and we have done this sort of thing many times throughout our time together. I was very pleased with my ride tonight, and aside from a small hiccup, he was wonderful."

Although Jensen and Liberty Light tripped once during the one tempis, judges Bill McMullin, Margaret Duprey and Karen Robinson gave three unorthodox scores to congratulate the duo on their costume, choreography and music selection. Officially, the scores were recorded as perfect 10s, but the judges awarded the pair a 10, 19 and 20 for their outstanding efforts.

"I was so pleased to have Bent join us again in this the fourth season of Dressage Under the Stars in Wellington," media personality Steve Williams described. "I have seen him do some crazy performances horseback but this one really made an impression on the crowd."

Jensen's freestyle was choreographed from watching different YouTube videos, apparently effective since his 'wiggle, wiggle, wiggle' brought the crowd to their feet. "I got the inspiration just from watching YouTube videos, and I thought LMFAO would be a fun group to interpret and dance to. He is such a talented horse, and dancing to the beat is what he loves to do."

Jules Anderson also rode Absolut in a crowd-pleasing spectacle. The Oldenburg performed piaffes and pirouettes with ease, while strutting their stuff to the Terminator theme. The crowd cheered as the duo took their final bow and, "I'll be back" resounded as the pair took their leave.

Ranging from rap, pop and hip-hop to electronic and rock, Dressage Under the Stars always guarantees an exciting night. Lisa Bukowski was no exception as she rode Parness, a 13-year-old Dutch gelding to a Sinatra-themed freestyle. Marcel Van der Burgh lent Parness to Bukowski, and the brilliant pair certainly dressed to impress. Horse and rider alike were clad in a black tie costume; the jazz-tempo moved the pair through a smooth and suave performance.
