Eight horses were killed in a deadly arson fire early on Monday morning at a farm in McConnelsville, Ohio. Among the victims was a week-old foal.
The owner of the farm, Brent Whitehouse, told WBNS-10TV that hate messages had been painted on the barn before it was set on fire.
Authorities are investigating the incident as a hate crime.
The barn was completely destroyed and the fire was so intense that it was impossible to try to save the horses.
A reward of $5,000 has been offered for information about the crime.
