Dio Mio named 'Omega Alpha Horse of the Month' for April

Ottawa, ON,--- Equine Canada has named Dio Mio, owned by Jill Irving and Windhaven Farm, as the 'Omega Alpha Horse of the Month' for April.

Partnered with Christilot Boylen, originally from Toronto, ON, Dio Mio, a 10-year-old black Hanoverian sired by De Niro, won the Individual Gold Medal in April at the Nations Cup CDI0*3 in Wellington Florida where the talented duo earned the highest score of the event with a 75.500% in the CDIO Intermediaire I, making them the top individual team of the week.

"I discovered Dio Mio when he was just 7-years-old year at his breeder's farm in Burghardt Wahler," said Boylen. "He is athletic, wiry, wants to please his rider, and does not like making mistakes! Working with him has been a wonderful journey. I am grateful and blessed to have been able to train him over the last years culminating with his recent exciting win in the Nation's Cup in Wellington Florida. I hope he will continue to give Windhaven (owners) and me, as much pleasure and success in the future!"

The Omega Alpha Horse of the Month program was developed to recognize a performance of exceptional merit by a horse from the disciplines of dressage, eventing or show jumping.
