Lowelas Named 'Omega Alpha Horse of the Month' for July

 

 

Ottawa, ON --- Equine Canada has named Lowelas the 'Omega Alpha Horse of the Month' for July. 


Lowelas, a 13-year-old Trakehner gelding sired by Hockey 41 with his owner and partner, Laurence Blais Tetreault of Montreal, QC recently enjoyed incredible success competing at Adequan FEI North American Junior Young Rider Championships held in Lexington Kentucky from July 17 - 21, earning two gold medals.

In his first time competing at the Junior Championships, Lowelas and Blais Tetreault earned the top ranked score of 71.525% for their performance in the FEI Junior Freestyle Championships. Their second gold medal came as part of the provincial team representing Quebec who won first place in their division.

"Leo (Lowelas) works really hard, has an amazing character and always give me is best even when he is tired," commented Tetreault. "I feel like he absolutely deserves this title. He was amazing at the championships and I could not have asked for better. I am really proud of him."
The Omega Alpha Horse of the Month program was established to recognize performance of exceptional merit by a horse from the disciplines of dressage, eventing and show jumping. Equine Canada is very pleased to have Omega Alpha Pharmaceuticals' generous support of the horse recognition program. Omega Alpha Pharmaceuticals will be providing the selected horse/rider combination with Omega Alpha product of their choice, up to a value of $1,000.
