Reminder-Nominate Equine Canada Coaches for new National Awards
New for 2011-Equine Canada has created national coaching awards to honour certified coaches who demonstrate what it means to be a great coach.
The Equine Canada National Coaching Awards were created to recognize coaches and instructors from all disciplines and levels who exemplify the coaching and teaching practices of the National Coaching Certification Program.
"Coaches are the backbone of sport in Canada," said Anna Mees, Senior Coaching Consultant, Coaching Association of Canada. "This awards program is a wonderful way to recognize the excellent work being accomplished by all the certified coaches who are working in our communities across the country."
Nominees may come from all corners of the country and will be recognized for their contribution to the sport as a teacher and coach, whether their students are active in competitive sport or are recreational sport participants.
Equine Canada coaching awards will be presented for Instructor/Instructor of Beginners, Coach 1, Coach 2, Coach 3, Coach 4, Competition Coach and High Performance Coach Candidate for each discipline when applicable.
To nominate a deserving coach, please visit the Equine Canada website at equinecanada.ca. The deadline to nominate a coach or instructor is December 16, 2011.
