Equine Canada Statement on Fall of Jessica Phoenix at
Jersey Fresh International Three-Day Event

Ottawa, Ont.-- Canadian Eventing rider, Jessica Phoenix of Uxbridge, Ont. was injured on May 9, 2015 following a fall during the cross-country phase of the Jersey Fresh International Three-Day Event in Allentown, N.J.

 

Phoenix's fall took place at jump six of the CCI 2* division, and resulted in multiple injuries. She was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J., where she underwent surgery and is currently reported as resting and in stable condition.

 

Her mount was not injured in the fall.

 

Equine Canada extends best wishes to Phoenix on her recovery.
