Equine Canada: Weekend Review April 17-21, 2013

Endurance

CEI 2* SHINE AND SHINE ONLY

Claudia Harper of Courtenay, BC took fifth place in the CEI 2* division of the Shine and Shine Only Endurance competition, which was held April 20 and 21 in San Jose, CA, USA. She completed the challenging 120km ride with A Sargent General, a seven-year-old Arabian gelding owned by competition organizer and three-time World Champion Endurance rider Becky Hart.

Eventing

CIC 3* FAIR HILL INTERNATIONAL HORSE TRIALS

The CIC 3* Fair Hill International Horse Trials took place from April 19-21 in Elkton, MD, USA. Canada's best result came from Lindsay Beer of Midhurst, ON. Riding El Paso, an 11-year-old Trakehner gelding owned by Penny Beer, she incurred zero faults in the jumping phases to secure a third place finish in the CIC 2* division on her Dressage score of 58.30.
