Yann Candele of Caledon, ON, was named the CAVALOR 'Athlete of the Month' for September by Jump Canada.

Candele kicked off his winning streak in September with top spot in the 1.40m RBC Grand Prix at Angelstone National Phase 3, held September 5-9 in Rockwood, ON, riding Susan Grange's Ariana, an 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare.

At CSI2* Canadian Show Jumping Tournament, held September 19-23 in Palgrave, ON, Candele dominated all three phases of the prestigious Caledon Cup. He started the week with a win in the $15,000 Caledon Cup Phase 1 riding Carlotta Singular, a 10-year-old Hanoverian mare owned by Grange, and also placed second with Game Ready, a 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding also owned by Grange. He claimed his second victory of the week in the $35,000 Caledon Cup Phase 2 with Game Ready and earned second place with Ariana. In the third and final phase, the $50,000 RAM Equestrian Caledon Cup Phase 3, Candele won with Carlotta Singular and finished second with Game Ready.

One week later at the CSI2* Angelstone International Show Jumping Tournament, Candele and Game Ready won the $50,000 Grand Prix of Rockwood presented by NG Stone. Riding Ariana, Candele also finished second in the 1.40m Modified Grand Prix Presented by Angelstone.
