Equine Herpes EVH-1 can be a  problem

Scores of horses in Canada and 11 USA states have now been infected with this highly contagious infection. Most of these are thought related to a single event in Ogden, Utah.

It can spread when horses sneeze or nuzzle  and  by  tainted equipment.

Care is suggested on both your farm and when travelling with your horse to shows this summer.
