New Schedule for Fairfield County Hunt Club
June Benefit Horse Show to benefit EQUUS Foundation!

WESTPORT, CT - Building on the great success of the 2012 show, Show Managers, William Aguirre and JP Godard, have revamped the class schedule for the 2013 show. Fairfield's AA-Rated June Show earned the coveted United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) Heritage Designation and the 2012 United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) Member Choice Award. Entries close on May 14, 2013.

2013 Fairfield Horse Show

The show will be held on Tuesday-Saturday, June 18-22, 2013 at the Fairfield County Hunt Club in Westport, Connecticut and will again benefit the EQUUS Foundation.

"We are so proud to be the beneficiary of the Fairfield Show for its commitment to growing the equestrian sport and its dedication to philanthropic efforts to ensure the well-being of horses and foster the horse-human bond," said Lynn Coakley, EQUUS Foundation President.

Key changes include the Pony Hunter, Adult Amateur and Children's Divisions, and new featured classes. The Pony Hunter Division is moving to opening day on Tuesday concluding on Wednesday with three separate $500 Emerson Burr Pony Hunter Classics - one for Smalls, one for Mediums and one for Larges.

To better accommodate working adults, the Adult Amateur Hunter Division moves to Friday, with the Adult Equitation Division on Saturday. The Children's Divisions are making a move, too, now split on two days with the equitation divisions on Wednesday and the hunter divisions on Thursday.

In addition to the $25,000 Grand Prix on Saturday and the $7,500 Poland Spring Welcome Jumper Stake on Thursday, featured classes include the $5,000 New England 3'3" Hunter Derby on Wednesday, the $3,000 High Junior/Amateur-Owner Classic on Thursday, the "NEW" $1,000 New England 2'9" Hunter Derby on Friday and the"NEW" $1,000 USHJA Pre-Green Incentive Stake on Wednesday.
