Victoria Colvin Awarded Potcreek Meadow Farm's
Junior Sportsmanship Trophy

Wellington, FL - Cara Anthony presented the 2013 Potcreek Meadow Farm Junior Sportsmanship Trophy to Victoria Colvin of Loxahatchee, Florida, at the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival (FTI WEF) during a Saturday night event, the $100,000 Suncast 1.50m Championship Jumper Series Final, on March 23.

Each week during the FTI WEF, a variety of observers, including the Trophy's sponsor, show management, officials and event staff observed all the junior riders at the back gate, schooling area, show ring and in the office. They looked for the junior that consistently demonstrated the highest level of conduct, horsemanship, attitude, and courtesy; appropriate for a competitor at the highest levels of the sport and who one day may represent our country.

Victoria, age 15, is trained by Scott Stewart and Ken Berkley of River's Edge Farm and Missy Clark of North Run. She had an excellent 2013 FTI WEF and impressed the selection committee with her hard work. She was the junior that effortlessly met all the criteria for the award.

The $100,000 Suncast 1.50M winner, McLain Ward, had this to share with award recipient Victoria Colvin.

"I think this award sets a tone, not only from society, but for our community, in how we expect people to act. Hopefully you try to continue that through your career, whether you aspire to be an amateur or at the Olympic-level. It's the same set of principles. Some days you don't like losing so much! But it's a humbling sport and it's important to stay grounded that way," he said.
