Bridgehampton, NY - Jimmy Torano of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Levland, owned by The Levland Group, captured the prestigious High Performance Hunter Championship in the Anne Aspinall Ring at the 41st annual Hampton Classic. Scott Stewart and Cameo, owned by Dr. Betsee Parker, won the reserve championship.
"When you talk about the High Performance division, it takes a special horse and Levland is that horse. He has so much ability. He is very scopey, he's got a big stride and he's careful with very good technique, which is what you want in a horse," said Torano. "It's nice to win. The only time I have ever been champion at the Classic was twenty plus years ago, so to be champion in the High Performance is a big deal."

In addition to winning the reserve championship in the High Performance division, Scott Stewart won four Hunter division championships and two reserve championships, placing him in a strong position for the Grand Hunter Championship to be awarded on Sunday.
"The horses went great, it's always so nice to come here and jump on the grass field. It's a little bit different for them," said Stewart. "I was very pleased with everything. It's a nice group of horses and this is one of my favorite horse shows."
