A driver in North Carolina has been arrested for hitting and killing a horse, and for injuring two riders. The driver did not stop at the accident scene.
Fox News Charlotte reports that a man named Timothy Hardin has been charged with with felony offenses both for the accident and for driving without a license.
According to an AP report, the two riders were returning from Walmart when they stopped to visit with friends on the road. The hit-run driver not only hit the horse and riders, but also the vehicle in which their friends were sitting. The accident left debris from the hit-run drivers' vehicle on the road.
The riders were taken to an area hospital for treatment.
