Lucy Davis has had four victories in four attempts in the final two weeks at HITS Thermal. This would have been a remarkable achievement for any top level international rider; that she is in fact a young amateur rider makes it almost amazing!

In the sixth and final week of the 2011 HITS Desert Circuit, there was a major prize on the line in the $200,000 Lamborghini Grand Prix.

Only five riders out of a field of 51 were clear without time faults in the first round.  The course, designed by Olaf Petersen, Jr., of Germany was both big and technical.

Kirsten Coe set the pace in the jump-off with a clear round in 40.568.  She chose not to attempt an inside cut that was a possible time saver, and her decision paid off when her clear round won second place.

Jill Humphrey was in next and she went for the fast time, but had several rails and ended in 5th.

Then it was Davis' turn;  she was clear and precise with a time of 38.755 seconds which set a standard which would take a lot of riding to beat.

Rich Fellers went next and did the inside turn which gave him the time to beat Davis, but had a rail and he had to settle for third.
