Horse Racing Betting Coming to Israel

"The Knesset's Finance Committee has granted the Israeli Commission for Sports Gambling a permit for betting on horse races taking placing abroad," ynetnews reports.

Much like many European betting booths, the permit will allow Israelis to view any number of races taking place every few minutes, place their bet, and watch the race on a big screen. The better may turn a few pennies into thousands, if they choose the right horse.

After the Commission signs an agreement with the foreign operator, the races must then be translated, and the website and payment arrangements must be updated.

The minimum bet is expected to be about NIS 10 (around $2.85USD or 2 euros).
