Breeding - Clinton Jack (ISH) Takes Second Consecutive Leg of
ISH Show Jumping Series 2013

THE FINALS of the fourth leg of the Irish Sport Horse (ISH) Studbook Show Jumping Series took place today (Sunday) at Mullingar Equestrian Centre, with another win for Clinton Jack and Shane McFadden.

A total of 149 Irish Sport Horses competed in the three qualifiers on Saturday with 66 horses making it through to the finals. Twenty-four horses started in the 5 year old final, 34 in the 6 year old final and 25 in the 7 year old final.

In the 5 year old final, there were nine clears in the first round, with seven of them eventually jumping double clear to share the prize fund. The 6 year old final saw ten clear jumping rounds on the first attempt with just four double clears in the second round.

The Alan Wade designed 7 year old course tested riders today, with just six clear in the first round and through to the jump off.

First into the ring was Francis Connors on the bay gelding Oilean Uno (ISH) by Le One who set the time at 40.40. Second last to go Shane McFadden aboard the super-scopey Clinton Jack (ISH)  was the eventual winner with a clear round in a time of 35.99.
