Important weekend for Pony Riders and Event Riders

 

 

The first of the Irish Eventing internationals takes place in Ballindenisk this weekend by kind permission of the Fell Family. Ballindenisk will see over 150 compete throughout the CIC ***, CCI **, CIC **, CIC*. CICJ* & the CICP**.  Ballindenisk will see international event riders such as Oliver Townend (GBR) and Zara Phillips (GBR) kick start their season in the Irish venue. The Irish International venue will also play a major part in the final preperations of our Badminton bound riders Joseph Murphy with his Olympic mount Electric Cruise (ISH), Peter Hannigan  with First Mate (ISH) and Michael Ryan with Ballylynch Skysport (ISH).

 

This weekend also sees 23 pony riders travelling to Fontainebleau with 39 ponies. The first Nations Cup of the year will take place on Saturday at 4pm, there will be eight countries taking part in the nations cup. The Grand Prix will then take place on Sunday. Last year Ireland took first place in the first Nations Cup of the year.  The Irish team will be selected from Susan Fitzpatrick with Rock Dee Jay, Matt Garrigan with Dr Spot, Rachel Houston with Blessington Grange Mist, Killian Norris with Javas Alun and Michael J Pender with Blackwoodland Rock.

 

There is also jumping in Hagen (GER), Lummen (BEL), Linz (AUT) & Truccazzano (ITA). Eventing in Elkton (USA) & Hambleden (GBR) and Para Dressage in Moorsele (BEL).
