BALLIVOR SHOW STARTS ON SATURDAY

 SHOW jumping, and much more, will be on the menu for the 42nd Ballivor Show in Co. Meath, which runs for two days from Saturday of this week.

Ballivor will boast over 100 competitions covering show jumping and showing, as well as vintage and classic and tractor exhibitions, combined with a petting farm and animal theatre, sheep shearing, pony mounted games and a Hunt Chase.

Apart from their now-famous €6000 Grand Prix, Ballivor will have five show jumping arenas catering for rounds of the €1500 Leinster 1m30 Summer Tour and rounds of the 1m10 and 1m20 Young Rider Development leagues, Ballymaloe Country Relish, Amateur Dingos, Horse Sport Ireland and Leddy Leagues. 

The show will also have two other €1000 1m30 competitions. 

There is a Glencarrig Lady round and rounds of the National Pony League as well as an RDS Junior Equitation Qualifier and Sportsman jumping competitions catering for 60cms, 70cms and 80cms. 

In showing Ballivor will feature qualifiers for The Pat & Eileen Fitzgerald Yearling Colt/Gelding All Ireland Championship at Ennis, the Red Mills 2 Year old Colt/Gelding qualifier for Tinahely Show, a 3 year old Filly qualifier for the Conoco Phillips All Ireland Championships, and a Galway Irish Crystal & Belleek 3 year old Filly or Gelding qualifier for Bannow Rathangan. 

There is also a 3 year old Filly qualifier for the Murnane & O’Shea All Ireland Championships at Bantry Show. In Working Hunters there are qualifiers for both the All Ireland Novice and Open Championships at Tullamore Show. 

Also scheduled are Ridden Show Pony Classes, Working Hunter Pony Classes, Equitation Jumping Classes, Miniature Horses and Connemara Classes and Pure Bred Welsh Classes. The show will also have Local Classes and a Fancy Dress Class.
