Show Jumping - Ryan Takes Millstreet Grand Prix for Ireland
DESPITE a strong British presence in the top ten at Millstreet Grand Prix in Cork today (Sunday) it was Ireland's Thomas Ryan who eventually took the 16,500 euro prize when he outpaced UK challenger Ellen Whitaker and Le Beau by a comfortable three seconds in the final round.
The 29 year-old Thurles - born rider was piloting the bay stallion Quite Zero in the timed round, a horse that had also featured with him at Aachen last month.
Co. Down's Dermott Lennon was eighth in the Grand Prix today with his long-time companion, the Irish Sport Horse Loughview Lou, while Deane Rogan and Falco van Spieveld finished in tenth.
