Wellington, FL- Tickets are available for the Third Annual International Gay Polo Tournament. Scheduled for April 14, 2012 at the Grand Champions Polo Club in Wellington, FL, the event will feature top polo players from the Gay Polo League (GPL). Tickets are available online at: gaypolotournament.blog.com/tickets/ and can either be mailed to the purchaser or picked up at will call the day of the event.
What: The GPL Tournament will take place during the second week of April. The tournament will field four teams, each comprised of GPL players and anchored by a high-goal professional.
Who is GPL: We're a community that shares a love for adventure, fun, and the beautiful, challenging sport of polo. GPL is committed to providing our members around the world with an enjoyable, supportive and competitive experience.
We represent a wide range of ages, backgrounds and skill levels - in fact, some of us had never been on a horse before joining. We actively train and compete in mainstream matches and events to test our skills, share our enthusiasm for the sport, and change perceptions about our community.
Our goal is to provide a safe place for active people to enjoy the excitement of competition and the camaraderie that comes with team sports, knowing that many of us didn't have as many opportunities to play a team sport growing up. We welcome everyone from the LBGT community and beyond.
