On November 6, Covert-Lawrence earned the Canadian Show Jumping Reserve Championship title at the Royal Horse Show in Toronto, ON.  Riding Unica van de Roshoeve, a 14-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare owned by the Eastwood Group, Covert-Lawrence posted three clear rounds over the two-day competition.

Covert-Lawrence then traveled to Argentina as a member of the Canadian Show Jumping Team contesting the Nations’ Cup at CSIO4*-W Buenos Aires from November 23 to 27.  Riding Utan, a 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by the Eastwood Group, Covert-Lawrence posted scores of one and four faults to lead Canada to victory.  In Sunday’s World Cup Grand Prix of Buenos Aires, Covert-Lawrence and Utan jumped double clear to finish second.

“It is a great honor to be named the Jump Canada Athlete of the Month,” said Covert-Lawrence, 35, who operates Eastwood Equine in St. Lazare, QC.  “I am very proud of my horses, Utan and Unica.  We gained valuable experience showing in Europe and Calgary earlier in the season, and I couldn't be happier with their consistent performances this fall.  While the individual results were great, being a part of a winning Nations’ Cup team was definitely the highlight for me.”

As the CAVALOR 'Athlete of the Month' for November, Covert-Lawrence receives a gift certificate from title sponsor CAVALOR Inc.

“I really like all of the Cavalor products, especially their line of horse feed,” said Covert-Lawrence.  “Unica and Utan have been on Cavalor feed for the past three years, so the gift certificate will be put to good use.”
