Top New Zealand show jumper Katie McVean has announced the sale of her mare Dunstan Delphi in part of an undisclosed multi-million dollar deal with the Saudis, Stuff.co.nz reports.

Nine-year-old Delphi is a home-bred mare, and is sure to be the most expensive horse ever sold out of New Zealand. McVean's plan includes a sale to the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation, who will co-own the mare with a "yet un-named rider".
