Weather And Riders Are Heating Up In The NAL

  

Annville, PA -  - The summer circuit is in full swing as riders race to accumulate enough points to qualify for National Finals.

 The North American League (NAL) offers a great opportunity for competitors across the country to compete in five divisions including Children's Hunter; Children's Jumper, Presented by EquiFit; Adult Hunter; Adult Jumper, Presented by SmartPak; and Low Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper. Riders and horses compete all year in order to qualify forNational Finals at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show and the West Coast Finals at the Las Vegas National Horse Show.

 The qualifying period for the NAL runs from September 1 through August 31 and anyone can compete in NAL qualifying classes. However, only current members are awarded points. Joining the NAL is the best way to ensure that you get the points necessary to make it to the finals and annual memberships are only $40 per rider. 

As of June 27, Nancy Hooker of Wellington, FL, and her horse Corianos Boy led the Adult Jumpers, Presented by SmartPak, with 4,707 points, followed by Laura Sexton of Greenwich, CT, with 4,168 points aboard Jessy Du Breau in second place. In third place was Casey Millis of Carton, GA, aboard her horse Secret Agent with 3,982 points. 

The West Coast Adult Jumper, Presented by SmartPak, was led by Emily Straw-Colella of Overland Park, KS, and Filibuster with 2,045 points. In second place was Tatiana Eagles and her mount Shockwith 979 points, and Julie Vorthman of Union, MO, aboard Javert V with 953 points held third place. 

Taegan Long of Medford, NJ, and Pocahontas led the Children's Jumper, Presented by EquiFit, with 3,523 points, followed by Madison Charlton of Galloway, NJ, and her horse Petit Flipper with 3,188 points. In third place with 2,736 points was Sara Dees of Long Beach, MS, and Talula. 

Tyler Mayer of McKinney, TX, and Windelinde led the West Coast Children's Jumper, Presented by EquiFit, with 2,361 points, followed by Katherine Nestor of St. Louis, MO, and Cosmopolitan with 1,003 points. Megan Hilton of Seattle, WA, and Kilconnell Cruise took third place with 991 points. 

Cloe Hymowitz of New York, NY, and Bon Vivant led the Low Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper, with an impressive 7,784 points. Her younger sister Lili Hymowitz and Little Lady D'Elle took second with 4,296 points, and Heather Hooker of Wellington, FL, and Perle held third place with 3,866 points. 

The West Coast Low Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper, had Genevieve Meyer of Rancho Santa Fe, CA, and her mount Coral Reef Wise Guy with 2,046 points. Emma Boyce of New Orleans, LA, and Kalinero Du Galete followed in second place with 1,545 points. Completing the top three was Emily Sheveland of Delafield, WI, and Lyla with 1,290 points. 

Brooke Cole of Rockville, VA, remained in the lead of the Adult Hunter division with 4,741 points aboardPoetic Justis, while Marissa Sterba of Mundelein, IL, held second place with 3,861 points with her horseSea Smoke. In third place was Mindy Wurzburg of Memphis, TN, and Overseas with 3,729 points. 

Melanie Jeanes of Dallas, TX, and her mount Carrera led the West Coast Adult Hunter division with 2,387 points. In second place was Mary Grossman of Burlington, WI, aboard Benvolio with 1,914 points. Following closely behind in third place with 1,759 points was Cheryl Rubenstein of Bellaire, TX, withRiesling

Alyssa Scholefield of Atlanta, GA, and Moon River topped the Children's Hunter division with 2,966 points, while Aizlynn Radwanski of Mohnton, PA, and Cute Date were in second place with 2,338 points. In third place with 2,248 points was Caroline Wilson of Germantown, TN, and Nose Better

Sarah Portell of Chesterfield, MO, and Cheveaux led the West Coast Children's Hunter division with 2,010 points, while second place was held by Mary Otto of St. Louis, MO, and Dakota with 1,840 points. Sophia Stouse of New Orleans, LA, and her horse Elder were in third place with 1,350 points.
