Himes Named as
Interim NRHA Executive Director

The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) has named an Interim NRHA Executive Director: Beth Himes of Millersport, Ohio. The Board of Directors voted unanimously for Himes to serve as interim executive director as provided for in the NRHA Bylaws. Himes also will uphold her current duties as president.

NRHA Vice President Rick Clark commented about the decision, “The search committee recognized the outstanding leadership Beth has provided to NRHA for many years, and especially in this time of transition. We felt this was the right move to make in the short-term. This decision gives all members and supporters security in knowing there will be continued upper-level leadership for the organization’s day-to-day activities.” Clark noted in reference to the continued search for an executive director, “This solution allows us to keep receiving resumes and visiting with candidates so that we may make the best hire for the future of our Association.”

Himes shared these thoughts when asked about the decision, “I agree with the board that there is great need for someone who understands the complex inner workings of NRHA and can provide executive direction in the short-term. I’m honored to take on the interim role and continue as the NRHA President. I look forward to continuing to work with members, the board of directors and NRHA staff to sustain the recent successes we’ve seen in membership, purses and international growth.”
