136th Kentucky Derby 4th place finisher Paddy O'Prada will be retired with a sesamoid injury following his win at the Dixie Stakes this past Saturday, ESPN reports.

Trainer Dale Romans noted that the horse looked fine immediately following his win Saturday, but a veterinarian noticed a considerable limp shortly afterward. X-rays showed a sesamoid injury, resulting in the decision to retire the horse.

The four-year-old won five of fifteen starts, collecting a total of $1.7 million in lifetime earnings.
