The Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event got underway today with some drama.

The initial vet inspection for soundness was scheduled for 10AM, but with dark clouds and tornado sirens, all horses were moved into the Alltech Indoor arena.  The jog was postponed until the 'all clear' was declared.

The inspection took place at 11AM and even though two had to jog twice, all horses were passed.

Now, on to the dressage phase.

Update:  Phillip Dutton did not present Truluck for the jog this morning, so 45 horses will start.  In addition, Karen O'Connor's mount at Badminton, Mandiba, broke 6 ribs in a fall and will remain in the UK to recover.
