Scarlett Oak Equestrian Centre Offers A Series of Clinics By World Class Equestrians


Scarlett Oak Equestrian Centre in Christchurch, New Zealand is offering a chance to learn from the best during a series of showjumping and cross country riding clinics by prominent riders and trainers. The newly-opened facility convenient to Christchurch airport reflects the owner, Celine Falletta’s, love of eventing with a cross country and derby schooling area as well as an all-weather 20m x 60m dressage arena and an all-weather 40m x 60m show jumping arena, complete with show jumps all set against the beautiful countryside of Canterbury province in New Zealand. 

Two day show jumping and cross country riding clinics will be offered by: Blyth Tait, an Olympic Gold, Silver and Bronze medalist and gold medalist at the World Championships while competing for New Zealand; Lucinda Green, a British team silver medalist at the 1984 Olympics and six time Badminton winner as well as garnering numerous medals in the World and European Championships and Caroline Powell who was a member of the 2010 Bronze Medal Team for New Zealand at the 2010 World Equestrian Games, was a winner and held numerous placings at Burghley and Badminton events.  

One and two day showjumping clinics will feature Vaugn Jefferies, bronze medalist as a member of the New Zealand Three Day Eventing team in 1996 and two time gold medalist at the World Championships; Penny Stevenson who is widely recognized as one of New Zealand’s leading showjumping instructors. She coaches nationally and internationally, has competed successfully at the top level of showjumping competition Penny is currently a showjumping selector for ESNZ. Now retired from competition, her primary focus is on training riders and selecting quality horses for discerning clients; and Bruce Goodin, an Olympic showjumper with numerous wins.
