Canada.com is reporting that a horse's head was discovered in the bed of a pick-up truck parked at a home near Niagara in Ontario.

A man has been arrested for mutilating a young horse at a farm where he was an acquaintance of the owners.  He has been charged with killing the animal, causing unnecessary pain, and mischief.

Canada.com quotes a detective who said:

``We can't logically explain why he's done what he allegedly did.  I don't have a clear explanation.''
