Southern Colorado Agencies Work Together to Remove Pregnant Mare from Hole
Chieftain.com reports that veterinarians and firefighters near Pueblo, Colorado, along with members of the Sheriffs office, Road Department, and Animal Control, successfully rescued a mare and her unborn foal from a hole dug for a water pipe.
The emergency bureau chief told Chieftain.com that:
“Animal rescues give us practice and confidence. That translates to experience and when a human life is at stake; we all know we can successfully work together.”
