Spruce Meadows 'Masters' Tournament:
Ahlmann Tops the Field in Finning Cup

Day One of the Spruce Meadows Masters came to a fitting conclusion as Christian Ahlmann rode top horse Taloubet Z to the victory in the Finning Cup.  Daniel Bluman took second place on Sancha LS La Silla.

This afternoon's course, designed by Venzuela's Leopoldo Palacios, caused riders to drop rails throughout the track, but again a narrow vertical caught many out.  In the jump-off, it was set by itself after a long gallop across the field  with a turn immediately after - riders trying to shave time found themselves hearing the thud of the rail dropping on the turf.  Ahlman and Blumen were the only riders in the jump-off to keep that pole in the cups.
