Italy's Lorenzo de Luca Finds the Formula in the Akita Drilling Cup

On a beautiful day in Calgary, another first time rider to Spruce Meadows made it happen in the International Ring:  Lorenzo de Luca riding Limestone Grey outran a crowded jump-off field to triumph in the Akita Drilling Cup.   The first to go in the jump-off, Olivier Philippaerts from Belgium, set down a tight time which caused many of the following riders to fault or miss the mark until de Luca's neat turns and flowing pace made the difference.
