Spruce Meadows National, Friday Evening: McLain Ward Takes the ATCO Midstream Challenge 

In a sixteen horse jump-off, McLain Ward pulled out all the stops to top the field in the $35,000 ATCO MIdstream Challenge this evening.

Michael Whitaker, riding Wild Rose an 8 year-old warmblood mare, had set a very economical time of 39.126 seconds which didn't leave much room for improvement.

Riding Coco 135, a 10 year-old gelding, Ward was a fraction behind at the half-way point, but made up the time easily.  Whitaker's time held up for second place.
