Ten Broeck Farm's New England Breed Shows
Return June 7-9, 2013
The $3,500 Young Horse Show Series was designed to provide sporthorse breeders, as well as owners, trainers and riders of all disciplines an affordable show venue to introduce and evaluate their young horses to the show environment and "put on necessary mileage" with appropriate and special classes suitable to the proper development of young horses. It is also intended creates a sales environment where numerous young horses are in a single location and their talents displayed in front of a buying audience.
All horses and ponies, yearlings to five year olds, which are being prepared to compete in Jumpers, Dressage, Eventing or Hunters, are eligible to compete during the event. Classes include In Hand, At Liberty, Jump Chute, and Under Saddle. Ten Broeck Farm is also pleased to support the new Young Jumper Championships Development Program. Ten Broeck Farm owner and professional hander Phil Silva will be available for handling services and handling lessons.
The New England Breed Show Series will begin on Saturday with the Ten Broeck Farm Dressage Sport Horse I, and will be followed on Sunday by the Ten Broeck Farm Dressage Sport Horse II, Qualifying for Great American/USDF Breeders and the New England Championship Series.
Silva explains the unique opportunity this weekend affords participants, "This is one of the rare events where you can show in two events with two judges at one location. The transportation savings and stabling convenience make it an attractive way to build up points."
