Tennessee Walking Horses Exhibited for Farm Bureau Presidents

Lewisburg, TN - The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ & Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) was asked by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture to exhibit their great horse for a group of Farm Bureau presidents touring Ellington Agricultural Center on Sunday May 22. Commissioner of Agriculture Julius Johnson hosted the group and wanted them to experience some Tennessee flavor.

 

Both a pleasure horse and a performance horse were exhibited to an excited crowd! Trainer Webby Burch brought two well-prepared horses. TWHBEA Director of Marketing Chris Coffey spoke about the different competitive divisions, as well as, the impact of the walking horse industry on the community level. Rachel Burch rode He’s Lynnard Skynnard, owned by Dr. and Mrs. Donald Headrick, as an outstanding representation of the park pleasure division. Sgt. J. D. Harber of the Metro Mounted Patrol Unit gave an exciting crowd control demo aboard Jose’. Representing the performance horse division was Diamonds and Dollars, owned by Randal Ritter and exhibited by Webby Burch.
