The Dressage Foundation’s Sally Swift Fund Grants Now Available for
Non-Profit Equestrian Groups
Beginning January 1, 2013, The Dressage Foundation’s Sally Swift Fund grants will be available to any non-profit equestrian organization. Previously, the grants to host a Centered Riding® clinic were only available for United States Dressage Federation Group Member Organizations (GMOs).
“The Dressage Foundation’s Board of Directors felt that other groups could benefit from the instruction received at Centered Riding® clinics,” said Jenny Johnson, Administrative Director. “At our annual meeting in October, our Board approved offering these grants to GMOs and other non-profit equestrian groups. We’re excited to be able to offer help for more riders!”
The Sally Swift Memorial Fund was created with donations to The Dressage Foundation from Sally’s friends and supporters. This fund provides grants up to $1,000 for interested groups to host a Centered Riding® Clinic.
The Sally Swift Fund grant application and guidelines can be found on The Dressage Foundation’s website at www.dressagefoundation.org. Grants will be awarded to the first qualified GMOs or other non-profit equestrian organizations whose applications are approved by the joint Centered Riding® and The Dressage Foundation Selection Committee.
“I know Sally would be very pleased to know her work was going to be carried on in the dressage world through The Dressage Foundation,” said Deb Moynihan, Level IV Centered Riding Instructor/Clinician, USDF Certified Dressage Instructor/Trainer and USEA Certified Eventing Instructor.
