The Kentucky Dressage Association Is Gearing Up For A Busy May Show Season
KDA is hosting two shows plus a CDI event, which will be held over four days with
a total purse of more than $21,000

 

Lexington, KY - Hundreds of dressage riders have already made plans to attend the Kentucky Dressage Association’s May show series at the Kentucky Horse Park. With more than $21,000 in prizes being offered, it is easy to understand why.

The KDA will be hosting more than 200 competitors for the KDA Spring Warm-Up Show and the KDA 27th Annual Dressage Show, which will feature a CDI***/CDI*/CDIY/CDIJ/CDIP. The shows will be held at the Kentucky Horse Park’s Dressage Complex and Rolex Arena, home of the 2010 World Equestrian Games. The park will also be the venue for this year’s USEF Festival of Champions Presented by Dutta Corporation, which will be managed by KDA.

The shows will feature more than $21,000 in prize money including:

  • $12,300 CDI
  • $6,600 National Shows
  • $2,400 KDA Members Only

“Our show has been growing and improving over the past five years, and we are delighted at the number of competitors who have entered this year,” said Michelle Morehead, KDA president. “We are appreciative of everyone who continues to make the show stronger, including our competitors, volunteers and supporters.”
