The Ridge at Wellington Welcomes $15,000 Invitational Grand Prix with
Local Schooling and Equitation Show Series

Wellington, FL -  The Ridge at Wellington is pleased to announce that a $15,000 Invitational Friday Grand Prix will now be offered at their premiere facility. Each year, the Ridge at Wellington offers the hunter/jumper schooling shows, as well as "Equitation Tuesday" Shows for riders of all levels. The Ridge at Wellington is a fantastic venue that offers state-of-the-art footing, as well as an affordable showing rate. The relaxed environment at the Ridge at Wellington provides divisions at all levels, and also provides temporary stabling for all events. Whether you are preparing for the Winter Equestrian Festival, or simply honing talent, the Ridge at Wellington offers the best of both worlds with gracious amenities, and fantastic events for all experience levels.

This season, the Ridge at Wellington will offer USEF Rated Equitation Shows. These shows will run every Tuesday of the month from January 8 - March 26, 2013. This event will feature the major 3'6" equitation classes including the Medal, Maclay, WIHS and USEF classes. The USEF Pony Medal, WIHS Pony Equitation, 3' THIS and M&S Equitation classes, the 3' Ariat and USEF Adult Equitation classes will also be available.

The Ridge at Wellington will also offer schooling shows for the 2013 Palm Beach Series with four available weekends. Riders can look forward to classes for all experience levels, and will be able to show in a relaxed environment with an "old fashioned" atmosphere. Saturdays will offer hunter and equitation classes, while Sundays will stand as the jumper days. During the February and March schooling shows, the Ridge at Wellington will also offer a Low/High Hunter Derby with fences set at 2'6" or 3'. This two-round classic will bring back the top 12 horses from the first round to compete for the championship.

The Ridge at Wellington is also pleased to welcome its all-new $175,000 1.40m Invitational Series. This series will feature a single weekly 1.40m class, running concurrently with the Winter Equestrian Festival. The Invitational Series is a USEF Level 2 Jumper show. Riders will have the opportunity to reserve a time to ride, so they will not miss out on any opportunities at the Winter Equestrian Festival. The 11-week series will culminate with a $24,750 Grand Prix Series Finale on Saturday, March 23, 2013. All riders who ride in eight of the 10 events are eligible to jump with no entry fee in the finale. A rider bonus award is also available for the highest placed riders throughout the series, for those participating in a minimum seven events to qualify.
