A colt named Total Recall, by Totilas, has sold for 200,000 Euros at the Oldenburg Horse Center Vechta Golden October auction. The colt was bought by Totilas’ owners, Paul Schockemöhle and Ann-Kathrin Linsenhoff. He was one of 45 foals, who were sold for an average price of 15,022 Euros.

 

According to Horse and Hound "Schockemöhle and Linsenhoff were in a lengthy bidding war with American Jamie White-Welling — who is married to Smallville actor Tom Welling. But the high-profile syndicate's bid was enough to secure the bay colt."


In additional news form the auction, Horseweb.de reports that:

"The second highest priced foal, Finalsatz by Fidertanz-Romanov Blue Hors-Sandro Hit was knocked-down for 51,000 Euros. A customer from Serbia purchased a stallion prospect named  Boreas by Bordeaux-De Niro-Rubinstein I for 29,000 Euros.

Interest from abroad for top Oldenburg horses was enormous. Nearly 55 % of the riding horses as well as eleven foals will bring joy to their new owners in foreign countries. Customers from the US purchased six riding horses as well as two foals. Their Canadian neighbors will be taking home four talented Oldenburg riding horses. Customers from the Netherlands, Spain, Great Britain, Monaco, Austria, Hungary, Switzerland, France, Russia, Italy, Sweden, Australia and Serbia also purchased top horses and foals from the Elite collection.

Total sales of the riding horses achieved the 1,658,500 Euros mark. The average price was  38,570 Euros. The Elite foals were sold for a total of 676,000 Euros which meant a sensational average price of 15,022 Euros for the nearly 50-strong foal collection."
