Two Mini Horses Mauled by Dogs

Click2houston.com is reporting that two miniature foals, aged four months, were mauled by Rottweilers in a neighborhood in north Houston.

The foals were a Christmas present to two young girls and were kept in a fenced yard.

The dogs, belonging to a neighbor, escaped through their own fenced yard and managed to get to the horses.

Both horses were bitten numerous times and one lost an ear.

Veterinarians are concerned about infection in the wounds.  They will have a better feel for the horse's chances to survive after 24 hours.
