Two Starving Horses Seized by Colorado Authorities

The Denver Channel is reporting that two severely malnourished horses were seized by authorities outside of Denver.  One of the horses died, while the other had been down and unable to get up on his own.

The second horse is making progress at a local equine hospital.

The Denver Channel reports that one of the veterinarians involved in the seizure said other horses on the property were "underfed, [in] poor conditions, not much food or water, if any, and several downed horses."

The horses' owner maintains that the assessment was just one vet's opinion.

For more information check The Denver Channel.  There is also a slide show showing the rescue and condition of the seized horse.
