Lauren Hester Named Show Jumping Hall of Fame Rider of the Month for August

Lexington, KY – Lauren Hester of Rancho Santa Fe, CA, has been named the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Rider of the Month for August.

Hester competes in the West Conference Amateur-Owner division of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series aboard Wender. The month of August was successful for the pair, as they earned first place honors in a Series class at the Showpark August Festival as well as seventh place at the Showpark Summer Classic, earning a total of 170 points.

The Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series honors one rider each month as the Rider of the Month. The honor goes to the one rider who earns the most points on one horse in Series competition that month.

“We are proud to honor Lauren with our August Rider of the Month Award,” said George Morris, President of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame. “Her victory is a testament to her skill, and we wish her the best of luck as the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series continues.”

The Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series saw competition at 12 events during the month of August, and will see classes at more than 100 horse shows before the Series culminates with a $50,000 Year-End Championship at the Alltech National Horse Show in Lexington, KY, in November.

The Series hosts separate divisions for junior and amateur-owner riders in two Conferences—the East Conference and the West Conference. Series standings are used to help determine junior and amateur-owner entries for the Alltech National Horse Show.

In the overall standings through August, Charlie Jacobs and Leap of Joy led in the amateur-owner standings in the East Conference while Christina Kelly and Camirage led in the junior division. In the West Conference, Steven Turilli and Raphael IV led in the amateur-owner standings while Alexandria Smith and Calira led in the junior division.

The top three horse-and-rider combinations in each division are as follows:
