Uncle Mo is a "go" for Kentucky Derby

Trainer Todd Pletcher says Uncle Mo's 1 minute, 1.6 second workout at the muddy Churchill Downs yesterday was "textbook". This means "Mo" could be a "go" for Derby day after all.

Owner Mike Repole noted that Uncle Mo looks "a whole lot different than the horse who left Belmont two weeks ago." A big step in the right direction, considering the gastrointestinal infection that cost Mo the Wood Memorial on 9 April.

Uncle Mo's final workout time on Sunday ranked 8th out of 20 horses working at Churchill that day, while stablemate Stay Thirsty came in at 9th.
