USEF Announces 2012 Eventing Developing Riders

 

 

Lexington, KY - The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) Eventing High Performance program congratulates the following horse and rider combinations for their acceptance into the 2012 Developing Rider Program.

Susan Beebee (Southern Pines, NC) and Plan Bee Equestrian's Wolf

Wolf is an 8-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding

 

Maya Black (Clinton, WA) and her own and Teresa Stewart's Konyagi 

Konyagi is a 10-year-old Thoroughbred gelding

 

and Dawn Dofelmier's Doesn't Play Fair 

Doesn't Play Fair is a 5-year-old Holsteiner gelding

 

Jennie Brannigan (West Grove, PA) and Nina Gardner's No Objection

No Objection is a 14-year-old Thoroughbred gelding

 

Maris Burns (Carnation, WA) and her own Young Gun

Young Gun is a 12-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding

Lizzie Snow (Milwaukie, OR) and Kathryn Sullivan's Coal Creek

Coal Creek is an 11-year-old Thoroughbred gelding

 

Lynn Symansky (Middleburg, VA) and her own Donner

Donner is an 8-year-old Thoroughbred gelding

 

Kendyl Tracy (Parker, CO) and A Bit of Tack's Ever So Lucky

Ever So Lucky is a 12-year-old Thoroughbred mare

 

A total of 50 applications were received from 19 states, and several riders were nominated by Talent Spotters.

 

Accepted horse/rider combinations will be invited to participate in one training session with Capt. Mark Phillips, which may be held in conjunction with the High Performance Training List sessions. After the initial training sessions, some exceptional riders may be invited to participate in further training sessions with the High Performance Listed riders. Riders selected to participate in these training sessions will also become eligible for the Amanda Warrington Fund Grant. This $5,000 Grant will be awarded to a rider recommended by Mark Phillips and approved by the Amanda Warrington Fund Grant Committee. 

 

USEF will announce the training session dates and locations in January, once they have been confirmed.
